North Bay is a city in North-eastern Ontario.  Just over 3 hours from both Toronto and Ottawa and  Incorporated in 1925 North Bay, it is situated between Lake Nipissing and Trout Lake.   


. In January 1968 the City of North Bay amalgamated with West Ferris and Widdifeild Township and now has a population of 54,000. North Bay boasts four Boards of Education. The Near North District School Board offers six English elementary public schools (JK-6), two Senior Public schools (5-8), two French immersion elementary public schools (JK-6), one Intermediate French immersion public school (7-12) and three secondary schools. The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board offers two English elementary catholic schools (JK-6), three schools (JK-8), two French immersion elementary catholic school (JK-8) and one French immersion secondary school. Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario offers one French elementary public schools and one French secondary school. Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord offers three French elementary catholic schools (JK-6) and one French secondary school with grades 7 and 8. Post-secondary institutions include Nipissing University and Canadore College.


The City has over 72 parks and sports fi elds, a waterfront marina with 270 boat slips with access to Lake Nipissing and trails and pathways. North Bay has 42 beach access points on both Lake Nipissing and Trout Lake. In the winter you can enjoy skiing, downhill and cross country, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and skating in one of the many arenas.  Our area has a ton to offer for Military families and veterans.
