CFB Edmonton is located in Sturgeon County in North Eastern Edmonton and covers almost 3,000 hectares of land.  The main Base site is home to Steele Barracks names after Sir Samuel Steele, who was an original founding member of the Northwest Mounted Police.

13 Division Support Base Edmonton manages delivery of a range of support and services needed for Canadian Armed Forces Units. To help ensure success the Base provides  administrative support, range and training areas, infrastructure and building maintenance with over 300 buildings in the Greater Edmonton area.

Edmonton itself is one of Canada's largest city (#6 in Canada with over one Million people) which offers all the amenities of a major urban centre  plus a ton of family friendly services and entertainment including Canada's largest Mall, the famous West Edmonton Mall.    Edmonton also boasts one of Canada's most ethnically diverse cities, boasting nearly 60 ethnic and cultural groups.
