ABC's of Military Postings
A – Before You’re Posted
Start preparing early. Review your budget, check if you're eligible for separation expenses, and explore job support for your spouse or partner. Look into the local housing market, education options for your kids, and find your nearest Military Family Resource Centre. Make sure your family’s medical needs are covered too.

B – Once You Get Your Posting Message
Now that your posting is confirmed, review move boundaries, imposed restrictions, or delays. Check your entitlements for moving services and benefits. Choose a BGRS Approved Realtor, get help with buying or selling your home and connect with the Canadian Forces Housing Agency if needed.

C – After You’ve Moved
Once settled, keep track of emergency contacts and all your important documents. Submit your relocation claims and understand any tax impacts. If you still own your old home, there may be support available. Take time to get familiar with your new community and resources.
